A 45-year-old motorcyclist was in critical condition Wednesday after he was extricated from under a box truck following a crash on Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood.

Los Angeles firefighters responded about 10:51 a.m. to the 6400 block of Lankershim Boulevard, near Hamlin Street and north of Victory Boulevard, according to fire department spokesperson Lyndsey Lantz.

LAFD firefighters freed the male motorcyclist from under the truck, and paramedics transported him to a local trauma center.

No other injuries were reported.
