Benjamin Royer covers the Los Angeles Lakers for the Southern California News Group. He’s a lifelong Angeleno and is no stranger to Los Angeles’ robust sports landscape. Royer previously reported on UCLA and college sports for SCNG and covered the Dodgers, Chargers and prep sports for the Los Angeles Times. He also has worked as a stringer for The New York Times.
Royer is a UCLA graduate and served as USC Annenberg’s Selden Ring Investigative Journalism Fellow, where he also received a master’s degree in specialized journalism.
